Operations Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Operations Coordinator to support vessel operations, freight forwarding activities, and customer experience. The role sits at the heart of documentation and client coordination, ensuring seamless execution and best‑in‑class service for our partners and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end vessel documentation for container and feeder vessels calling Aqaba.
• Support logistics and freight forwarding operations, including shipment documentation and cargo movement follow‑up.
• Ensure compliance with port regulations, customs procedures, and industry standards.
• Track and monitor containers and cargo, maintaining accurate documentation throughout shipment stages.
• Act as a coordination hub among shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities, customs, shippers, consignees, transport providers, and internal teams.
• Maintain structured, auditable record‑keeping systems for all vessel and cargo documentation.
• Prepare and distribute daily operational reports and customer updates.
• Review, validate, and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies, resolve documentation issues, and escalate risks when needed.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, customs requirements, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping agency operations.
• Strong understanding of vessel and cargo documentation requirements for vessels calling Aqaba, especially container vessels.
• Basic knowledge of freight forwarding workflows (import, export, transit).
• Familiarity with customs processes and documentation flows.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with customs documentation systems such as ASYCUDA or ASYHUB.
