Partnership Finance Manager

About the role

The Partnership Finance Manager will support the development and oversight of financial management for the Partnerships Department of the Syria Country Office. Reporting to the Head of Treasury and Financial Compliance, the role ensures partners’ budgets are sound, financial reporting is accurate, and capacity building is delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the strategic Finance Business Partner to the Head of Treasury and Programme Implementation team.
• Assess partners’ financial capacity, identify gaps and provide targeted support.
• Develop and review partners’ project budgets, work plans, cash‑transfer and procurement plans.
• Support partners during external audit processes and follow up on audit recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of work plans and budgets to ensure programme objectives are met.
• Lead best‑in‑class financial management at field level, including recruitment, succession planning and internal control compliance.
• Provide guidance, training and regular field visits to partners on financial and operational issues.

Required profile

• Experience in partnership financial management within an NGO or humanitarian context.
• Proven ability to conduct capacity assessments and deliver financial training.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cash‑transfer planning and procurement processes.
• Experience supporting external audits and implementing audit recommendations.
• Ability to work closely with senior finance and programme teams.
