Payroll Specialist – Amman

About the role

Kitchen Park is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll accounting, tax compliance, and general payroll operations for its growing team in Amman. You will ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain statutory compliance, and support internal and external audits.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile payroll‑related accounts; prepare schedules, summaries and reports.
• Research and advise on accounting treatment of complex payroll transactions.
• Conduct periodic internal audits of payroll areas and prepare audit materials.
• Manage payroll tax activities, file returns and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain employee payroll records, audit time‑and‑attendance data, and process hires, terminations and status changes.
• Compute wages, overtime, deductions, garnishments and process special pay types.
• Review payroll system output, ensure balanced totals and correct ledger entries.
• Prepare and file payroll‑related financial reports and ad‑hoc special reports.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hands‑on payroll experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).
• FPC or CPP certification preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems implementation and payroll tax compliance.
• Exposure to payroll processing across the Middle East and knowledge of regional legislation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ADP platforms: Celergo, Streamline, Globalview, WorkforceNow, Smart Compliance, GLI.
• Strong accounting and mathematical aptitude.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving for complex payroll issues.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
