Payroll Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Team Leader to oversee daily payroll operations in Amman, ensuring accurate and timely payment for all employees while complying with company policies and Jordanian labor regulations. The role involves leading a dedicated payroll team, collaborating with HR and Finance, and continuously improving payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day‑to‑day payroll operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all staff.
• Review payroll data, earnings, deductions, and statutory payments.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
• Prepare payroll reports and perform reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with payroll policies and Jordanian labor regulations.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders on payroll matters.
• Support payroll audits, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Coach, mentor, and develop payroll team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• SAP HR or comparable ERP/payroll system.
