Penetration Testing Team Leader

About the role

The Penetration Testing Team Leader heads the offensive security practice, delivering high‑impact penetration testing engagements for enterprise, government and critical‑infrastructure clients across the MENA region. The role blends hands‑on technical work with team management, customer interaction and service governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage penetration testing engagements across infrastructure, web, wireless and applications, defining scope, methodology and rules of engagement.
• Act as the primary technical lead throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring safe execution within authorized boundaries.
• Perform advanced manual and automated testing, validate vulnerabilities, assess exploitability and business impact.
• Review and quality‑check findings, ensuring reports are accurate, risk‑rated and actionable.
• Present technical results and executive summaries to client stakeholders, conduct remediation workshops and provide strategic security guidance.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior penetration testers, delivering knowledge‑sharing sessions and capability‑building programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading penetration testing engagements for complex environments.
• Strong technical expertise in offensive security and vulnerability assessment.
• Ability to communicate findings to both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience mentoring and developing security testing teams.

Required skills

• Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Red‑team style security validation.
• Knowledge of OWASP Testing Guide, PTES, OSSTMM and NIST guidance.
• Testing of infrastructure, web applications, wireless networks and custom applications.
