Pharmacist – Service Contractor

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a qualified pharmacist to join its health team in the Zaatari refugee camp, Jordan. As a Service Contractor, you will ensure safe and effective medication management for patients affected by humanitarian crises.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed drugs, compound, package, and label pharmaceuticals.
• Review physician orders, detect therapeutic incompatibilities, and advise the health team on dosage and selection.
• Monitor patient drug therapies, recommend interventions, and provide pharmacological counseling to patients.
• Organize and direct pharmacy technicians, verify preparation, labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Answer medication‑related queries from health‑care professionals and maintain accurate pharmacy records.

Required profile

• Certified/registered pharmacist with a valid Jordanian Ministry of Health license.
• 2–4 years of professional pharmacy experience.
• Fluent in Arabic and basic knowledge of English.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, policies, regulations, and warehouse procedures.

Required skills

• Pharmacy dispensing and medication compounding.
• Pharmacy record‑keeping and documentation.
• Interpretation and application of pharmacy guidelines and regulations.
