Poultry Farm Manager

About the role

The Poultry Farm Manager will lead an integrated poultry business in Qatar, overseeing breeder and broiler farms, hatcheries, egg packing, feed mill operations and logistics. The role is responsible for meeting production targets, maximizing profitability and ensuring the highest standards of biosecurity, animal welfare, quality and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of breeder farms, broiler farms, hatcheries and related facilities.
• Develop and execute annual production plans and operational budgets.
• Monitor flock performance metrics such as mortality, feed conversion, egg production and hatchability.
• Implement strict biosecurity, vaccination, animal welfare and disease‑prevention programs.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, nutritionists, engineers and farm managers to optimise performance.
• Supervise maintenance of housing, ventilation, feeding, watering and environmental control systems.
• Review production reports and apply corrective actions.
• Manage manpower planning, recruitment, training, performance evaluation and succession planning.
• Oversee procurement of feed, vaccines, equipment and other operational needs.
• Lead expansion projects, facility upgrades and new‑technology implementation.
• Handle emergency situations such as disease outbreaks or equipment failures.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, budgets and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA, Poultry Science or Agriculture) is an advantage.
• 10–15+ years of experience in commercial poultry operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Experience managing large teams (100+ employees) and integrated poultry businesses.
• Fluent Business English; Arabic preferred.
