Procurement Assistant Manager – Food Production

About the role

The Procurement Assistant Manager will lead daily sourcing activities for ingredients, packaging materials, and machinery components supporting our food production operations. You will work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted supply while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and consistent quality.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse to forecast material needs, avoid downtime, and minimize excess inventory.
• Monitor commodity and packaging market trends, conduct cost analyses, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure supplier compliance with JFDA regulations, HACCP principles, ISO standards, and internal food‑safety specifications.
• Oversee issuance, tracking, reconciliation, and documentation of purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Manage inbound logistics, customs clearance, and supplier performance reporting (lead times, defect rates, cost variances).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in food production or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of raw‑material sourcing, supplier qualification, inventory planning, logistics, and customs processes.
• Practical understanding of JFDA regulations, HACCP, ISO standards, and food‑safety requirements.
• Fluent Arabic and good written and spoken English.
