Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead purchasing, procurement, contracts and vendor management activities for the terminal at Noatum Ports Jordan. This role ensures goods and services are sourced efficiently, competitively and in line with company policies, while acting as a bridge between Finance and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation and contract award.
• Manage the complete purchase order lifecycle from requisition through delivery and invoice matching.
• Develop and maintain the terminal's approved vendor list and conduct periodic supplier assessments.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers to achieve optimum value.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with procurement policies and the Delegated Authority Matrix.
• Review and manage contracts for goods and services, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely renewal.
• Coordinate with GL/AP regarding invoice approvals, payment scheduling and budget alignment.
• Monitor procurement spend against approved budgets and report material variances to the CFO.
• Manage the importation process for equipment and materials where applicable.
• Lead, supervise and develop the Purchasing & Contracts team.
• Maintain complete procurement documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.
• Drive digitalization and continuous improvement across the procurement function.
• Support ERP readiness and future procurement system implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• CIPS or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience in procurement, contracts management and vendor management.
• Experience in ports, logistics or infrastructure environments is preferred.
• Excellent Arabic and English communication skills.
