Project Cost Control Officer

About the role

TAJ ALSAFA®️ is seeking a Project Cost Control Officer to join its forward‑thinking real‑estate development team. You will be responsible for monitoring project finances, identifying cost risks early, and ensuring budgets are adhered to across residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse project budgets, actual costs and committed costs.
• Prepare Budget vs. Actual vs. Committed Cost reports.
• Generate and review Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Cost to Complete (CTC) calculations.
• Track purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, payments and subcontractor commitments.
• Analyse financial impact of variations, change orders and claims.
• Identify cost deviations, budget overruns and potential financial risks.
• Issue early warnings and provide accurate cost analysis to management.
• Coordinate and reconcile cost data across PMO, projects, finance, procurement and contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Accounting or Finance.
• Hands‑on experience in the construction/contracting sector (mandatory).
• Experience in cost control, project controls, quantity surveying or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction cost, procurement, contracts and payment processes.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Good knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP B1) or similar ERP systems.
