About the role
The Project Manager will lead the implementation of low‑complexity projects funded by the British Council or other clients, supporting non‑formal education, youth and civil society initiatives in Jordan. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from planning and contracting to delivery, reporting and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Manage project contracts, timelines and budgets, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives.
- Coordinate with delivery partners, trainers, facilitators and internal teams to maintain clear expectations and performance standards.
- Oversee financial planning, monthly forecasting and expenditure monitoring using the SAP system.
- Prepare and submit regular financial and narrative reports to the British Council and other stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, escalating strategic issues when necessary.
- Support business development by contributing technical inputs and lessons learned to proposals.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing education‑related projects or similar programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across programme, finance and operations teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with financial policies.
Required skills
- SAP (financial reporting and forecasting)
