Protection and Education Program Manager

About the role

Plan International Jordan is seeking an experienced Protection and Education Program Manager to lead the technical implementation of child protection, gender‑based violence (GBV) response, and Inclusive Quality Education (IQE) across its programmes. Based in Amman, the role will ensure high‑quality delivery, budget compliance, and effective coordination with partners and government bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for child protection, GBV, and IQE components.
• Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of protection and education activities.
• Manage programme budgets, grant compliance, and work‑plan execution.
• Supervise project officers and field staff assigned to protection and education projects.
• Strengthen referral systems and increase community awareness on protection issues.
• Integrate early childhood development (ECD) and IQE approaches into programme design.
• Build capacity of staff, partners, and government personnel on quality education standards.
• Collaborate closely with Economic Empowerment, MERL, Resource Mobilisation, and Support Services teams for integrated delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing child protection, GBV, and inclusive education programmes in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong knowledge of protection standards, GBV response mechanisms, and inclusive quality education frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, grants, and reporting requirements.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including NGOs and government agencies.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
