PYP Math Teacher (Primary Years Programme)

About the role

Amman Academy, an IB World School in Jordan, is seeking a passionate PYP Math Teacher to join its bilingual community. You will deliver the Primary Years Programme mathematics curriculum to students aged 3‑12, fostering inquiry, creativity and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging mathematics lessons in line with the IB PYP framework.
• Prepare and evaluate written and subject‑specific assessments as required.
• Conduct demo classes and participate in multiple interview stages during recruitment.
• Uphold the school’s values of creativity, integrity, well‑being, collaboration, respect, discipline and educational excellence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support a bilingual (English/Arabic) learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting.
• Fluency in English.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare policies.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mathematics content for primary years.
• Ability to implement IB PYP teaching methodologies.
• Effective classroom management and assessment skills.
