Quality and Risk Management Referent

About the role

The Quality and Risk Management Referent will lead the development and embedding of a patient‑safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the Reconstructive Surgery Hospital. The role ensures that quality governance becomes an integral part of daily operations and that national staff acquire the expertise to sustain these processes independently.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and reinforce a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement at all staff levels.
• Integrate the Patient‑Centered Approach into routine hospital activities in line with MSF policies and international standards.
• Lead the Patient‑Centered Approach Committee, progressively enabling national members to take ownership.
• Oversee patient feedback mechanisms, including satisfaction surveys, interviews, and complaint handling.
• Maintain and operate the risk‑management system, covering adverse event reporting, case reviews, and corrective‑action monitoring.
• Anchor quality governance within day‑to‑day hospital management and update the documentation management system.
• Support mission leadership in harmonising safeguarding, internal control, and protection frameworks with quality and risk management.
• Facilitate transparent communication of quality initiatives, achievements, and areas needing attention.
• Collaborate with MSF referents, partners, and participate in weekly coordination meetings.
