Release Engineer

About the role

The Release Engineer is responsible for driving excellence in client delivery and operational readiness at Network International. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on technical work, ensuring production‑ready code is consolidated, built, and deployed efficiently across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead release backlog planning, coordinate teams, and maintain the release calendar.
• Evaluate Requests for Change (RFCs), assess risks, and participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
• Coordinate release content across service requests, third‑party applications, and internal teams.
• Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone checkpoints, and Go/No‑Go decisions.
• Document deployment plans in Jira and Confluence and provide weekly release reporting.
• Promote Agile best practices, facilitate retrospectives, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain synchronization of code branches, oversee build and deployment practices, and define PMO performance metrics.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.
• Strong log analysis, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with geographically distributed, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Atlassian toolset (Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
• DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines.
• Python, YAML (Jinja), Maven, Batch scripting.
• Oracle SQL.
• Cloud computing/virtual machines.
• Azure, Terraform, Ansible (preferred).
