RPA Aircraft Mechanic – Deployment Pool (J)

About the role

The Deployment Pool RPA Aircraft Mechanic provides essential maintenance and repair support for remotely piloted aircraft across various CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role demands flexibility to travel and adapt to changing deployment schedules while ensuring aircraft airworthiness.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily launch and recovery duties to meet operational requirements.
• Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants, fuel and oil systems, and functional components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns, drills, and test instruments to diagnose and correct malfunctions.
• Interpret Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals, and related documentation to guide maintenance actions.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and support aircraft utilization schedules.
• Conduct engine flushing, cleaning, lubrication, and required maintenance checks.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a deployment environment with variable schedules.
• Basic technical knowledge applied to complex problem solving.
• Good judgment, logical thinking, and attention to detail.
• USAF equivalent experience as an Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice or similar.
