RPA Aircraft Mechanic – Deployment Pool (Junior)

About the role

The Deployment Pool RPA Aircraft Mechanic provides essential maintenance, inspection, and repair services for remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) and related equipment. The role supports deployments to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, requiring flexibility and readiness to work on diverse schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance, modifications, and inspections on RPA systems and support equipment.
• Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants, fuel systems, and functional components using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose and correct power‑plant malfunctions, including cracked components and oil leaks, using test equipment and hoisting devices.
• Execute engine flushing, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and support aircraft utilization schedules.
• Recommend procedural revisions to improve efficiency and workmanship quality.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible deployment schedules and travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites.
• Capability to interpret Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals, and related documentation.
• Basic technical knowledge to solve complex mechanical problems.
