Ruby on Rails Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the services that power our coaching platform. You will work closely with product, frontend, data engineering, and QA teams to deliver high‑quality, reliable backend systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Create and document robust APIs for mobile apps, web platforms, and data ingestion pipelines.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in backend engineering.
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and SQL.
• Proven ability to build APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Understanding of performance, scalability, and reliability in backend systems.
• Experience writing automated tests and delivering production‑ready code.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
