Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets. This full‑time, onsite position requires vigilant patrols, rapid response to incidents, and thorough documentation of all security‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control guest access to rooms and facilities.
• Monitor CCTV systems, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety equipment.
• Lock and unlock property entrances as required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS when necessary.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and daily loss‑prevention summaries.
• Escort unwelcome persons from the premises while maintaining operational flow.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and property information.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Clear vision for reading small print and inspecting equipment for defects.
• Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to follow company policies, report unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond quickly to security incidents.
