Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting functions for Abdali subsidiaries and the assigned accounting responsibilities of Abdali Hospital. This role ensures that financial activities are performed accurately, on time, and in line with organisational policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities for subsidiaries and the hospital, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes within established deadlines.
• Produce monthly financial statements and variance analyses for assigned entities.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, intercompany, accruals, and prepayments.
• Process vendor and service provider payments with proper documentation and authorisation.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, handling capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and coordinating with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting, and financial reporting standards.
• Monitor intercompany transactions, reconcile balances, and assist with cash‑flow management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Up to 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
