Senior Associate – Accounts Receivable / General Ledger Accountant

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Associate to manage accounts receivable and general ledger functions across Jordan, Iraq and Libya. The role combines client billing, collections, tax compliance and GL support to ensure accurate financial reporting and cash‑flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Issue client invoices, including manual invoices for Libya, and reconcile payments against accounts receivable.
• Maintain aging reports, client lists and year‑end AR reporting requirements such as the JACPA audit invoice report.
• Prepare and reconcile withholding tax (WHT) receipts, support VAT reporting schedules and maintain statutory filing records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, support monthly and annual close processes, and prepare accruals, deferrals and inter‑departmental entries.
• Prepare bank update files for Iraq and Libya accounts and collaborate with regional finance on treasury, budgeting and chart‑of‑accounts alignment.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Confident client interaction skills for payment collection and follow‑up.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
