Senior Associate – Application Specialist (IFS)

About the role

PwC Middle East is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Internal Firm Services (IFS) team as an Application Specialist. The role focuses on supporting the firm’s finance systems, ensuring smooth operation across the finance function and the wider business, and contributing to system upgrades and enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for the firm’s finance applications, handling level 2‑3 user issues and coordinating with the technology function.
• Assist with testing of system upgrades, log and report defects to hosting centres or vendors, and verify successful implementation.
• Perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of data‑related queries, including extracting information from system databases.
• Run and interpret standardized finance reports, understanding the underlying logic to answer user queries.
• Ensure compliance with system usage policies and promptly report any misuse to the department head.
• Liaise with global Centres of Excellence for complex technical challenges and escalation.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting finance‑related applications in a large professional services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with end‑users and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks during system upgrades and incidents.
