Senior Consultant – Core Banking

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in the core banking domain to join Deloitte’s consulting team in Jordan. The role involves advising clients on end‑to‑end banking transformation programmes and ensuring seamless integration of core banking platforms with satellite applications and third‑party solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advisory and consulting services across the full lifecycle of core banking products, including accounts, deposits, loans, loan origination, trade finance, treasury, point calculation, accounting entries, payments, risk and compliance.
• Lead and support core banking implementation, upgrade or replacement projects, managing inter‑dependencies between core systems, satellite applications and integration layers.
• Collaborate with business, technical and vendor teams to align requirements, conduct gap analysis and validate solution designs.
• Support testing strategies, including functional, integration and user‑acceptance testing, and drive issue resolution.
• Identify risks related to core banking and integration components and propose mitigation plans.
• Contribute thought‑leadership on best practices, industry standards and emerging trends in core banking technology.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the core banking domain covering a broad range of modules such as accounts, deposits, loans, trade finance and treasury.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end banking processes and the ability to manage complex transformation programmes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a consultative mindset.
