Senior Facilities Management, Infrastructure & Sustainability Consultant

About the role

The Central Support Services Division (CSSD) at UNRWA Headquarters in Amman seeks a senior consultant to strengthen facilities management, infrastructure planning, and sustainability initiatives. This six‑month assignment will support the agency’s SMART Project and drive improvements across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate CSSD facilities‑management operations and oversee renovation, refurbishment, and capital‑works projects.
• Promote lifecycle asset‑management principles and update SOPs, technical guidelines, and procedures.
• Provide technical input throughout project phases, monitor compliance with standards, timelines, and quality requirements.
• Identify risks, report progress, and liaise with contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Integrate sustainable procurement and environmental‑sustainability practices into CSSD functions, supporting energy, utilities, and emissions reporting.
• Monitor contracts, service‑level agreements, and overall service delivery performance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in facilities management, infrastructure planning, and project coordination.
• Proven ability to implement sustainability and green‑procurement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of UN/NGO operational environments and contract monitoring.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
