Senior Formulator – Pharmaceutical Development

About the role

MS Pharma is seeking a Senior Formulator to lead the development of new generic and biosimilar drug products. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure formulations meet ICH, GMP and regulatory standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation, pre‑formulation and scale‑up studies in line with ICH Q8, Q9 and Q10 guidelines.
• Conduct physical and chemical testing, literature reviews and stability assessments on prototype batches.
• Document all trial data, prepare pharmaceutical development reports, master formulas, CQAs and CPPs for regulatory submissions.
• Scale processes to pilot or production scale and support validation batch manufacturing.
• Collaborate with analytical, regulatory and manufacturing teams to address formulation optimization and re‑formulation of existing products.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP and company SOPs throughout all activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Pharmacy.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Proficient in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Strong knowledge of ICH, GMP, GLP, GDP, WHO and national health regulations.

Required skills

• Formulation development and process development.
• Pre‑formulation, scale‑up and stability study design.
• Validation protocol design.
• Regulatory submission documentation (CQA, CPP, master formula).
• Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) implementation.
