Senior IFRS 9 & Assets & Liabilities Reporting Officer

About the role

Jordan Kuwait Bank is looking for a Senior IFRS 9 and Assets & Liabilities Reporting Officer in Amman. The role supports the preparation, analysis and monitoring of IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations and assets and liabilities reporting, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and timely submission of financial reports under applicable accounting standards, Central Bank of Jordan regulations and the bank's internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse IFRS 9 ECL calculations and related financial reports.
• Monitor and assess the classification and measurement of financial assets under IFRS 9.
• Support the preparation of assets and liabilities reports, including balance sheet analysis and financial risk exposure.
• Prepare and review periodic financial and regulatory reports in line with CBJ requirements.
• Analyse financial data, identify discrepancies and ensure the accuracy and completeness of reporting.
• Coordinate with Risk Management, Treasury, Finance and other departments on data consistency.
• Monitor changes in IFRS 9 standards and regulations and support their implementation.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual reports and support internal and external audits.
• Improve reporting processes, perform reconciliations and investigate variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in banking, financial reporting, IFRS 9 or related functions.
• Familiarity with Central Bank of Jordan regulations and banking reporting.
• Preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of IFRS 9 and ECL methodology.
• Good knowledge of assets and liabilities reporting and financial statement analysis.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills, with attention to detail and deadline awareness.
