Senior Partnership Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a Senior Partnership Officer in Amman, Jordan. The post supports the growth and quality of partnerships within the IRC Jordan Country Program, identifying, building and sustaining strategic partnerships with government actors, civil society, women-led and women-focused organizations, community-based organizations and private sector actors. It coordinates the day-to-day partnership lifecycle, including support to the sub-awards portfolio, and works under the guidance of the Senior Programs Coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update a partnership ecosystem map and stakeholder analysis, and build a prioritized pipeline of prospective strategic partners aligned with the Strategy Action Plan.
• Support outreach, networking, exposure visits and relationship-building with prospective partners, and manage relationships with strategic partners, including coordination with relationship managers and the annual partnership health check.
• Contribute to equitable co-design and co-delivery with local actors, and support business development with partners, including joint funding opportunities and diversified financing such as private sector, CSR and philanthropy.
• Advocate internally for a partnership-first approach in program design and proposal development, and track progress against partnership commitments, reporting to the Senior Programs Coordinator.
• Capture and share evidence and lessons from partnerships to inform future partnership choices.
• Manage the partnership lifecycle: screen prospective partners, run stakeholder and social network analyses, schedule design meetings, collect partner documents, prepare the teaming agreement or Pre-Award Letter, organize the Partner Capacity Analysis, draft the Partnership Agreement, and prepare the opening meeting presentation and minutes.
• Collaborate with program, technical, finance, compliance and MEAL teams to apply partnership principles consistently.
