Senior PreSales Engineer – IT Infrastructure Systems

About the role

Prime Gate, an infrastructure technology system integrator founded in 2003, is hiring a Senior PreSales Engineer for its IT Admin department in Amman, Jordan. The role covers end-to-end technical solutioning for enterprise compute, storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery and hybrid cloud, working with Account Managers, OEMs and Value-Added Distributors in Saudi Arabia. The salary range is 1,500–2,200 JOD.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the sales team to deliver technical presales support and meet enterprise sales targets.
• Gather and analyse customer technical and business requirements and turn them into scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
• Design high-availability, scalable and cost-effective infrastructure architectures.
• Demonstrate the business value, TCO and ROI of proposed solutions.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, including discovery workshops, sizing, BoM generation, technical proposals and compliance matrices.
• Align hardware, software, implementation and managed services capabilities with customer needs.
• Promote infrastructure upgrades and transformations across enterprise and government accounts in Saudi Arabia.
• Design and oversee Proof-of-Concepts, benchmarking and technical demonstrations.
• Maintain relationships with IT infrastructure OEMs and local VADs, and collaborate with Product Managers and OEM channel teams on market opportunities and product roadmaps.
• Provide technical enablement and product training to internal sales teams, and take part in margin optimization discussions.
• Assist sales leaders in handling complex technical objections and closing high-value deals, and perform competitive benchmarking.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure presales or solution architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent field.
• Deep knowledge of datacenter architecture, HA, DR, BCP and storage topology design.
• Strong workload sizing, performance analysis and capacity planning skills.
• Proven ability to sell technically to IT managers, CTOs and CIOs, and established relationships with KSA-based OEMs and VADs.
• Preferred: presales experience in IT infrastructure, strong relationships with KSA OEMs and VADs, and experience supporting enterprise and government customers in Saudi Arabia.
