Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager will lead strategic planning and execution of procurement activities for the organization in Amman. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality purchasing aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate supply strategy, aligning stakeholders across the business.
• Lead savings and operating cash‑flow programmes for assigned categories and business units.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimise sourcing and supplier activities.
• Evaluate business challenges, mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement, work simplification and elimination of non‑value‑added activities.
• Support HSE initiatives and contribute to incident reporting in line with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years total experience, including at least 6 years in senior procurement roles.
• Proven track record managing procurement teams with significant spend responsibility across multiple locations.
• Experience in Power, Energy, Combined Cycle Powerplants, or Solar industry.
• Strong knowledge of best‑in‑class purchasing capabilities, risk management and market dynamics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
