Senior Program Coordinator – ASAS (Jordan)

About the role

The Senior Program Coordinator will be based in Amman and will serve as the central hub for coordinating Development Gateway’s activities within the ASAS education consortium in Jordan. Reporting to the Oversight Lead in the UK, the role blends administrative discipline with operational problem‑solving to keep multiple workstreams moving smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of DG’s ASAS workstreams, tracking timelines, deliverables, dependencies and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain and update the project work plan, ensuring all tasks are documented and completed on schedule.
• Manage relationships with consultants, vendors, universities and government partners, overseeing contracts and performance.
• Facilitate communication and alignment between DG, IREX, consortium members and internal teams across Jordan, the US, Kenya, Argentina and other locations.
• Ensure compliance with DG and IREX systems, policies and reporting requirements.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and propose practical solutions to keep the program on track.

Required profile

• Highly organized, proactive and solutions‑oriented professional.
• Strong experience in program coordination, vendor management and multi‑stakeholder operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage shifting priorities with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with remote and in‑country teams across different time zones.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
