About the role
MedNet Jordan is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join its hybrid‑working team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of software applications throughout the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze business and system requirements and create comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios.
- Execute manual testing, validate functionality and performance, and log defects.
- Perform backend validation using SQL queries to verify data integrity.
- Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and defect logs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Leverage automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Pytest) to improve test efficiency.
- Continuously improve QA processes, standards, and methodologies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC environments.
- Proven ability to design test plans, cases, and manage defects.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Required skills
- SQL querying for database validation.
- Jira for defect tracking.
- Automation frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Pytest.
- Programming/scripting: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- API testing tools: Postman.
- Test management tools: X‑Ray, Zephyr.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.
