Senior Sales Manager

About the role

Al Salwa Publishers, an award‑winning independent publishing house producing original Arabic books for children and young adults, is entering a rapid growth phase. We are seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Sales Manager to own and drive our commercial expansion, shaping the future of our sales engine.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute sales strategies that open new markets and increase revenue.
• Build and lead a high‑performing sales team, establishing processes and sales systems from the ground up.
• Negotiate contracts and nurture relationships with distributors, retailers and partners across the Arab world and internationally.
• Identify and pursue opportunities beyond existing markets, including participation in international book fairs and customer meetings.
• Balance growth initiatives with profitability, providing regular performance analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of successful sales or business‑development experience.
• Proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience creating and implementing measurable sales strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to build teams, define processes and launch sales systems.
• Strong commercial judgment, analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, with willingness to travel for meetings, events and fairs.
• Publishing background is a plus but not mandatory.
