Senior Technical Artist - AI & Creative Automation

About the role

A studio is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to help shape how AI is used across its creative production teams. The role sits at the intersection of art, engineering, AI and production, designing and shipping AI-powered tools, agents, automation and production workflows used across mobile games. Candidates should show a portfolio and two or three relevant projects alongside their CV.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship AI-powered tools, agents, automation and production workflows used across mobile games
• Work with artists, designers, animators, developers and other technical partners to identify high-impact problems and prototype solutions
• Turn good ideas into dependable production systems, owning work from experiment through deployment, adoption, measurement and improvement
• Evaluate whether AI is the right solution, when conventional automation is better, and where human creative judgment must stay

Required profile

• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience; exceptional candidates with less traditional tenure are encouraged to apply
• Professional experience in art, graphic design, animation, motion graphics, VFX, technical art, game art or a closely related visual discipline
• Strong foundations in composition, colour, lighting, perspective, visual hierarchy and storytelling
• Recent substantial experience applying AI and automation to creative or production workflows
• Track record of taking ambiguous problems from exploration through prototype, deployment, adoption and support

Required skills

• Python for automation, tooling and AI integration
• API integration, including asynchronous jobs, batch processing, retries and failure handling
• Git, GitHub, open-source repositories and dependency management
• Generative image and multimodal AI workflows; prompt and context design, tool use, validation and benchmarking
• Nice to have: JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Unity scripting, plugin creation, GPU-based AI workloads, cloud infrastructure and containers
