Senior to Lead Mechanical Technical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior to Lead Mechanical Technical Engineer to drive the mechanical engineering delivery of large Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects in Jordan and Syria. The role will be based in Jordan and will oversee design reviews, technical coordination and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all mechanical engineering activities for major CCPP projects.
• Review and coordinate engineering designs, technical documentation and contractor deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical support during engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders to optimise designs and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of hands‑on experience in power generation, specifically Combined Cycle Power Plants.
• Proven experience working with EPC contractors on utility‑scale projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
