Shop Drawing Designer & Technical Coordinator – Furniture & Architectural Woodwork

About the role

NAZ is looking for a detail‑oriented Shop Drawing Designer & Technical Coordinator to join its engineering team. The role focuses on creating accurate, production‑ready shop drawings for bespoke furniture, architectural woodwork, doors, kitchens, wardrobes, wall cladding and other custom joinery solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, interior design, tender and IFC drawings.
• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and produce as‑built measurements.
• Develop detailed shop drawings for client and consultant approval.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with architectural, structural, MEP and finishing works.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, sections, elevations, plans and material schedules.
• Resolve technical challenges while preserving design intent and ensuring manufacturability.
• Collaborate with project managers, production engineers, procurement and factory teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify hardware, accessories, material specifications, clearances, tolerances and installation requirements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and company quality procedures.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments and support production teams with technical clarifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience preparing shop drawings for bespoke furniture, architectural woodwork or interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, furniture manufacturing and production/assembly techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
