Sous Chef - Lebanese Cuisine

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which operates more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants, is looking for a Sous Chef specializing in Lebanese cuisine. The position reports to the Executive Sous Chef and covers both a la carte and buffet menus.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues
• Prepare all food items consistently according to hotel recipes and standards
• Hold daily shift briefings and make sure all kitchen colleagues know the standards and expectations
• Liaise daily with outlet managers about guest feedback
• Develop menus creatively and present food attractively, knowing all menu items, daily features and promotions
• Interact with guests at tables and balance operational, administrative and colleague needs
• Manage staffing and scheduling in line with productivity guidelines
• Keep work areas, utensils and equipment clean and maintain kitchen policies, procedures and safety and sanitation rules

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience in the culinary field
• Journeyman's papers or an international equivalent
• Diploma certification in a culinary discipline is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, reliability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player who can stay calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs
