Store Manager – Supermarket (Express)

About the role

The Store Manager for an Express Supermarket is responsible for delivering seamless service, driving sales, and ensuring profitability while maintaining optimal stock levels and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Implement MAF Retail’s supermarket strategies and procedures in collaboration with Head Office and Corporate Office.
• Analyse commercial performance using qualitative and quantitative methods and recommend actions to increase profitability and sales turnover.
• Control operational costs within budgetary guidelines to maximise sales and profitability.
• Review stock and sales reports, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with Department Heads for effective stock management, including stock value, out‑of‑stocks, and timely deliveries.
• Lead the team to enhance customer service and meet standards.
• Supervise service and maintenance activities to keep supermarket assets operational and safe.
• Assist in performance management by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in retail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with proven capability to guide and develop teams.
• Analytical and pragmatic problem‑solving skills with strong decision‑making capability.
• Highly organised with strong multitasking and time‑management skills.
