Strategic Analysis and Planning Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Planning professional to lead the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous review of the Bank’s strategic direction. The role will provide senior management with data‑driven insights through comprehensive analysis of the banking sector, competitive landscape, economic environment and internal capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and periodic review of the Bank of Jordan Group’s vision, mission, values, strategic objectives and priorities.
• Conduct and oversee internal and external strategic analysis, including market trends, competitive positioning, economic developments, SWOT analysis and critical success factors.
• Develop strategic options and recommendations and present them to senior management and governance committees.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, KPIs, initiatives and responsibilities across business units.
• Monitor implementation of the strategic plan, initiatives and related KPIs, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic and annual strategy performance reports for senior management.
• Lead scenario planning and strategic risk assessment to evaluate potential market and economic impacts.
• Oversee research on economic, market, industry and competitor trends to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
• Evaluate proposed initiatives for alignment with the approved strategy and assess expected impact.
• Develop research methodologies, surveys, workshops and other tools to gather stakeholder insights.
• Prepare executive reports and presentations communicating complex analysis and recommendations.
• Represent the Bank in strategic projects involving external consultants and partners.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in strategic analysis and planning, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and work closely with senior and executive management.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capability to translate data into actionable strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive alignment across the organization.
