Strategic Analysis and Planning Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Planning professional to lead the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous review of the Bank’s strategic direction. The role will provide senior management with data‑driven insights through comprehensive analysis of the banking sector, competitive landscape, economic environment and internal capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and periodic review of the Group’s vision, mission, values, strategic objectives and priorities.
• Conduct internal and external strategic analysis, including market trends, competitive positioning, economic developments, SWOT and critical success factors.
• Develop strategic options and present recommendations to senior management and governance committees.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, KPIs, initiatives and responsibilities across business units.
• Monitor implementation of the strategic plan, initiatives and related KPIs, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic and annual strategy performance reports for senior management.
• Lead scenario planning and strategic risk assessment of market and economic developments.
• Oversee research on economic, market, industry and competitor trends to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
• Evaluate proposed initiatives for alignment with the approved strategy and assess their strategic impact.
• Develop research methodologies, surveys, workshops and interviews to gather stakeholder insights.
• Prepare executive reports and presentations communicating complex analysis and recommendations.
• Represent the Bank in strategic projects with external consultants and coordinate internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic planning within banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Track record of leading cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Ability to work closely with senior and executive management.
• Good knowledge of banking sector dynamics, economic indicators and regulatory environment.
• Experience in scenario planning and strategic risk assessment.
• Robust project monitoring and reporting capabilities.
