Technical 3D Artist – Real‑time Architectural Visualization

About the role

As a Technical 3D Artist you will bridge creative and engineering teams to produce high‑quality, optimized 3D assets for real‑time applications such as architectural visualisation, VR/AR and simulations. You will develop tools, streamline pipelines and ensure seamless performance across platforms while meeting visual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑quality 3D models for architectural visualisations, immersive environments, or interactive experiences, ensuring accuracy and visual appeal.
• Optimize 3D assets for performance without compromising quality, focusing on polycount, UV mapping and texture efficiency.
• Develop realistic materials and shaders aligned with lighting setups and visual fidelity standards.
• Assemble modular environments using a component‑based approach to support flexible design iterations and scalable world‑building.
• Manage the full pipeline from 3ds Max to Unreal Engine via Datasmith, ensuring clean imports, proper asset structuring and optimized scene integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Game Design, Architecture, Animation, Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in real‑time 3D art, technical art or pipeline development.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with a proven track record of diagnosing and resolving pipeline and integration issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.

Required skills

• 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Revit, Maya, Blender
• Unreal Engine or Unity, including Datasmith workflow
• Shader development, PBR material workflows, UV mapping, LOD creation, polycount optimisation
• Asset optimisation for real‑time engines
