Telecommunications Service Supervisor

About the role

The Telecommunications Service Supervisor leads the hotel’s Telecommunication department, ensuring seamless operation of all telephone, fax, and related services. This role combines technical oversight with staff management to maintain high service standards for guests and internal users.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and coordinate all activities within the Telecommunication department.
• Develop and implement procedures for handling inbound/outbound calls, fax transmission, rental equipment, and leased lines.
• Investigate and resolve complaints related to telecom services, operators, and technicians.
• Create work plans, monitor performance against goals, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain effective employee relations, conduct regular staff meetings, and manage recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and proper functioning of all telecom equipment, software, and hardware.
• Ensure equipment is covered by appropriate maintenance contracts and that preventive maintenance is performed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventories, logs, and documentation for PABX, voice mail, call accounting, and telephone numbering plans.
• Program PABX databases and adjust service classes for telephone sets.
• Prepare and control the departmental budget and attend relevant seminars and product presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising a telecommunications team, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Strong ability to develop procedures, manage budgets, and monitor performance metrics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for equipment and software issues.
• Effective communication and employee‑relation capabilities.
