About the role
The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician performs aircraft ground handling and servicing operations at a Southwest Asia installation, supporting U.S. and coalition forces in a high‑tempo, austere environment.
Key responsibilities
- Execute aircraft arrival, marshaling, parking, chocking, grounding and departure tasks in compliance with Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
- Perform operator‑level inspections and servicing of ground support equipment, maintain tool control, and participate in FOD prevention activities.
- Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs and inspection checklists while communicating hazards and equipment issues to supervisors.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- 3–5 years of experience in aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, or transient aircraft services.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent military experience.
Required skills
- Aircraft marshaling and ground handling procedures.
- Flight line safety requirements, including FOD prevention and PPE usage.
- Operation and maintenance of ground support equipment and tool control programs.
