VTC Technician I – Video Teleconferencing Specialist

About the role

The VTC Technician I provides on‑site support for video teleconferencing (VTC) events, ensuring that all equipment and connectivity are operational and secure. Working under the Site Manager, the technician enables seamless virtual meetings for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers to verify equipment readiness.
• Set up, operate, and maintain VTC consoles, Digital Video Recorders, cameras, microphones, and related AV hardware.
• Establish secure and non‑secure network connections for conferences.
• Configure cabling, audio/video routing, and adjust sound and lighting for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot VTC and connectivity issues with local and remote technical control facilities.
• Configure modems, data timing, and transfer rates.
• Perform weekly maintenance on all VTC equipment and manage the VTC Bridge.
• Provide technical support for all attached VTC circuits.

Required profile

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• High School diploma or GED (additional education may substitute for experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in video teleconferencing or audio‑video production.
• Ability to work rotating shift schedules covering 24/7 operations.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to obtain host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
