VTC Technician II – Video Teleconferencing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a VTC Technician II to support video‑teleconferencing operations for V2X’s global missions. The role involves setting up, operating and maintaining VTC equipment, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for conferences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers to confirm equipment is operational and ready for use.
• Set up, operate and adjust VTC consoles, Digital Video Recorders, cameras, microphones and related AV hardware.
• Establish secure and non‑secure end‑to‑end connectivity for conferences, including proper cable routing and signal testing.
• Troubleshoot VTC and network issues with local and remote technical control facilities.
• Configure modems, data timing and transfer rates to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform weekly maintenance on all VTC equipment and administer the VTC Bridge.
• Provide technical support for all VTC circuits attached to the bridge.
• Supervise and assist junior VTC technicians as required.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Minimum 5 years experience in video‑teleconferencing or audio‑video production.
• Ability to work rotating shift schedules providing 24/7 coverage.
• High school diploma or GED; additional education may substitute for experience.
• Preferably at least two years of supervisory or lead experience.

Required skills

• Operation of Video Teleconferencing equipment (consoles, DVRs, cameras, microphones).
• Audio/Video cable management and signal routing.
• Modem configuration and data transfer rate tuning.
• Network connectivity troubleshooting (secure and non‑secure links).
• Administration of VTC Bridge systems.
