Vulnerability Analyst I

About the role

As a Vulnerability Analyst I you will support the Department of Defense (DoD) network by identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across systems, networks, and applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance and protect sensitive information.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of DoD SWA network components.
• Develop and implement action plans to remediate common vulnerabilities and exposures.
• Create and maintain daily reporting templates to achieve at least a 95% vulnerability compliance rating.
• Monitor security alerts and bulletins, providing rapid initial response to incidents.
• Collaborate with IDS/IPS and ArcSight teams to detect exploitation attempts, including zero‑day threats.
• Recommend improvements to the overall cybersecurity posture and communicate findings to senior military personnel.

Required profile

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess impact of vulnerabilities.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with management and military leadership.
• Experience working in a regulated or defense‑related environment is preferred.
