Web Developer – WordPress/PHP

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Web Developer with deep expertise in PHP and WordPress to design, build, customize, and maintain web applications and websites. The ideal candidate will work across the full stack, delivering high‑quality, secure, and performant solutions that meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain websites and web applications using PHP and WordPress.
• Create and adapt WordPress themes and plugins, leveraging Hooks, Actions, Filters, Custom Post Types, and WordPress APIs.
• Build responsive front‑end components with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Integrate third‑party platforms and REST APIs, handling JSON data.
• Manage MySQL/SQL databases, perform query optimization, and ensure data integrity.
• Troubleshoot issues related to PHP, WordPress core, plugins, themes, and browser compatibility.
• Optimize performance, scalability, security, and reliability of web solutions.
• Maintain code quality using Git for version control and follow secure coding standards.
• Support deployments, upgrades, testing, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with designers, internal teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective web solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of overall web development experience.
• 2–3+ years of hands‑on WordPress and PHP development.
• Proven track record of building custom WordPress plugins and themes.
• Strong understanding of both front‑end and back‑end development.
• Experience with API integrations, database management, and production support.
