Accountant – Accounts Receivable & Reconciliation

About the role

The Accountant will manage accounts receivable processes and ensure accurate revenue recording. You will perform daily and monthly reconciliations across POS systems, cash collections, bank deposits, credit‑card settlements and delivery aggregator platforms, supporting the company’s financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation between POS sales reports and accounting records.
• Reconcile cash collections from stores with bank deposits and investigate any discrepancies.
• Reconcile credit‑card settlements with POS transactions and bank statements.
• Reconcile aggregator platforms (e.g., Talabat, Careem, Deliveroo) with POS sales and payments received.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances, ensure timely collection and proper recording.
• Investigate and resolve variances between sales, collections and bank settlements.
• Prepare and post revenue‑related journal entries and adjustments with appropriate documentation.
• Assist in month‑end closing activities related to revenue and receivables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1‑3 years of solid experience in managing the general ledger.
• Good experience with Jordan tax regulations (sales tax, income tax, withholding tax).

Required skills

• Very good proficiency in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
