Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic – Deployment Pool

About the role

The Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic supports a deployment pool, providing maintenance and operational support for ground support equipment and light support vehicles across CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role requires flexibility to work varied deployment schedules and ensures equipment readiness for aircraft maintenance and flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, including fuel, oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air servicing.
• Inspect, test, and operate equipment to verify serviceability and proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual/auditory cues, test equipment, and technical publications.
• Disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, and reassemble GSE components and accessories.
• Stencil and mark equipment according to technical orders.
• Handle, label, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Prepare equipment for storage and mobility deployment.
• Operate, clean, inspect, and service tow vehicles.
• Maintain accurate equipment and vehicle records and provide dispatch support for positioning equipment.
• Adhere to safety procedures, housekeeping, tool control, and Foreign Object Damage prevention.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or completion of relevant military or vocational technical school curriculum.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and deploy to various locations as required.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance and repair of ground support equipment.

• Interpretation of technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders.
