Clinical Dietitian – Patient Nutrition Specialist

About the role

The Clinical Dietitian joins the multidisciplinary team at Abdali Medical to provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, therapy, and education for patients and families at nutrition risk. The role ensures optimal nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral feeding, across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring) and communicate care plans with the medical team.
• Deliver evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy to inpatients and outpatients, managing nutrition support per hospital policy.
• Participate in quality and compliance initiatives, supporting JCI accreditation and safety standards.
• Train dietetic interns, students, and educate physicians, residents, and other health professionals.
• Coordinate inpatient meal services, supervise tray‑line operations, and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Develop and update patient education materials, clinical guidelines, and protocols.
• Engage in performance‑improvement projects, departmental meetings, and community nutrition campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Valid Ministry of Health Dietitian license.
• Professional competency in clinical nutrition and nutrition support.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).
• Knowledge of evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy.
• Understanding of enteral and parenteral nutrition protocols.
