Consumer Credit Review Officer

About the role

The Consumer Credit Review Officer is responsible for overseeing the processing of exceptional inward clearing cheques and ensuring compliance with internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with audit teams, operational staff, and supervisory authorities to maintain high standards of control and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor staff adherence to policies, procedures, and the risk framework.
• Follow up on audit findings, contribute to audit action plans, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Supervise and control consumer exceptional inward clearing cheques, guaranteeing approvals are within authorized limits.
• Process and sign daily transactions in line with policies and authority levels.
• Track daily reports, resolve inquiries, cases, and amendments in coordination with relevant departments.
• Ensure all transactions are completed before the closing of the CBJ clearing session.
• Address pending issues with concerned parties and perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with the AB Code of Conduct, internal policies, and local laws and regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in Business from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking operations.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Strong knowledge of credit operations, related policies, and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
